What payment methods are accepted?

To earn cash back with GetUpside, you need to make your purchase with a debit or credit card. Cash, prepaid credit or debit cards, gift cards, and EBT are not eligible forms of payment for GetUpside offers.

Using a credit or debit card allows us to make sure the person who claimed the offer is the one making the purchase. This way we can show businesses working with GetUpside that their offers for you are driving more business for them.

*Note - For gas purchases, fleet cards are supported except for Fleetcor Fuelman cards which are not an eligible form of payment.

So this is kinda ridiculous, that I would try to orchestrate using other’s gas purchases to make 87 cents on Upside. So this basically means you are going to lose me as a participant, because I buy practically all of my gas using $50 Shell gift cards. The grocery store in this area is Publix and has a regular (about every other week) gas-card promotion where you can buy a $50 gas card for $10 off for each $50 in groceries you buy. This is a really good promotion, which I avail myself of often, and buy many of these $10-off Shell gas cards. It’s stupid that buying gas using a gift card is disqualifying. So, I am gone, and you can keep the $7.65 in my account. Because most of it was earned using Shell gas cards. But before I leave, there is one thing I want to point out about the receipt which you disqualified. If you look at the bottom you will see the words “FRN Loyalty” with a bunch of X’s followed by the number 7605. That’s my Shell Fuel Rewards Network card which I also use to lower my per-gallon cost of fuel. That’s a way to tie the purchase to me. Anyways, to me, Upside appears to be another good idea ruined by onerous rules which frustrate users into not using it. Bye.
